Design and Rig Test of Hydro-Pneumatic Spring for Heavy Off-Road Vehicles

Abstract In order to meet the requirements of heavy off-road vehicles for long-stroke elastic elements, a new type double-chamber hydro-pneumatic spring was innovatively designed. According structure and working characteristics, mathematical models under two conditions are established, its stiffness characteristics analyzed. The force displacement data at different frequencies were obtained by rig test. static friction, damping separated. Based on displacement, polytropic exponent is identified curve fitting. theoretical model designed in this paper provide support application vehicle.
